Only nine months later, the first online sportsbooks launched in the state of Michigan

There are currently 23 tribal casinos (12 of which are federally recognized) and 3 standard retail locations that can apply for an online license. Once they have a license they can partner with an external online sportsbook. MotorCity Casino, for example, has joined forces with FanDuel and Bay Mills Indian Community have signed an agreement with DraftKings.
