Massachusetts Sports Betting

Massachusetts has the potential to become a sports betting hub in the United States. With five major league sports teams and casinos already up and running, it's only a matter of time before the world of online betting arrives to the state.

However, it the timing that has become somewhat of an issue the state which has made achingly slow progress in pushing through a bill. The state is currently looking at the fifth proposed bill, which would tax online sportsbooks 12.5%.

This taxation rate is much lower than many other states and considering how attractive the state is as a potential market, we foresee a huge amount of interest from sportsbooks.

In 2020, the senate decided not to approve any sports betting bill for the year. It is likely that a new bill will be proposed in 2021.
