One of the world's oldest and most popular sportsbooks, William Hill, opened in the US back in 2013. After the Federal ban on sports betting was scrapped in 2018, the sportsbook launched an aggressive online expansion in the US.
The company threw its weight behind their US product, creating an incredibly slick and easy-to-use mobile app, similar to the products used by thousands of customers around the world.
However, the company were unable to compete with homegrown brands such as FanDuel, DraftKings and BetMGM.
That was until mid-2021 when Caesars Entertainment acquired the sportsbook.
The move saw the Caesars existing sportsbook merge with William Hill's, creating, in our opinion, the ultimate betting experience.
The new product really boasts the best of both the existing products, with a clean, easy-to-use app and website with great odds and an outstanding welcome offer.
Like any big change, there are some teething issues, such as a lack of Bet-Builder, which had been one of William Hill's trademark functions in the UK, its home market.
However, we expect that these issues will be ironed out by mid-2022. The market is simply too competitive, and if customers can't get the full range of features, they'll simply jump ship.
